This is my recipe. I made this up. Ok so I got some ideas from my dad and recipe books....but I adapted them all to make my own!
The ingredients: avocados, lemon an lime juice (lemons and limes would be better but I didn't have any so had to make due with what I had), garlic powder, salt, pepper, salsa, and scallions.
Peel two avocados and place in a small bowl.
Mash up with a fork and add lemon juice. About a tablespoon or a little bit less.
Then add the same amount of lime juice.
mix until smooth, then add 1 1/2 tablespoons of garlic powder. I use garlic powder because raw garlic is a bit too spicy for this side dish. The garlic powder gives it a much nicer taste.
salt...
and pepper to taste.
I usually add about two heaping spoonfuls of salsa...to give it a bit of a kick.
And some chopped up scallions.
Mix it all together and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips or on top of your favorite quesadillas!
