TWD Rewind- Celebrate Election Day with these Quadruple Chocolate Brownies!

I hope everyone is casting their vote today! Remember every vote counts and not only for president but all the state and city propositions too!

These quadruple chocolate brownies are the most decadent, chocolaty, gooey, horribly delicious, moist brownies I have ever made in my whole entire life. It has to be some sort of sin to eat these things. They are made with chocolate powder, unsweetened chocolate, milk chocolate, and chocolate chips (although I substituted the chocolate chips for butterscotch chips). Then they are topped with a white chocolate glaze. There is no baking powder or baking soda in these brownies so they are very very dense and oh so intense (hehe I rhymed!) These were one of the first recipes chosen for TWD and I have wanted to make them since I joined. They just look so good it’s evil!

Since it is election day I decided it would be fun to decorate the white chocolate in our country’s colors: Red, white, and blue. I thought about making an American flag but it just seemed way to complicated for a novice baker like myself so I settled for a red, white, and blue tie-die sort of thing.

You can find this recipe in Dorie Greenspan’s book Baking: From My Home to Yours or Here.

Enjoy!

Wow! Those do look evil and delicious! I'm a fellow TWD baker, and I was thinking that it would be nice if we all could chip in and get Laurie some small token/gift for all the work she does. Would you be willing to contribute? If I can get enough people, it would only be about $1 per person. No pressure :-) Let me know! bethberg12@yahoo.com
